Shipping Containers Pop Up Everywhere

Monday, 21st January 2013

Many architects, designers and creative companies are finding that shipping containers make the ideal base for many pop up concepts.

Here at Bullmans we have converted shipping containers into pop up restaurants, bars and even a shopping mall at Boxpark in Shoreditch. Their uniform design, ease of transportation and inherent strength and security make them ideal for many applications. Having undertaken thousands of projects over the 39 years we have been in business we like to think we know a thing or two about container conversions.

The exterior of a container gives a rugged, urban and edgy twist to many design ideas and being readily available, easily worked on and transported they lend themselves perfectly to pop-up retailing. With minimal outlay and planning constraints compared with conventional buildings pop up creations facilitate a “toe in the water” for new markets or goods without the need to commit vast amounts of capital. If it doesn’t work in one location the container can be picked up, dropped off and be up and running somewhere else the next day.

With branding and creative interior and exterior design shipping containers can be completely transformed. Take a look at our gallery from some previous projects or visit our offices and speak with our team about your own bespoke ideas.
