Container Conversions An Integral Part Of Summer Events

Monday, 11th June 2012

Being such a versatile, secure and readily available product it is hardly surprising that shipping containers are being widely used for the many events taking place this year. There are a huge amount of them undergoing conversions or being prepared for delivery to site and all being used for a whole range of applications, it would be difficult to find a venue for any of the big events this year that has not made use of a container or two.

Refrigerated containers also known in the trade as reefers are very popular. Capable of handling chilled or frozen goods these oversized freezers can be used to store any perishable or temperature sensitive goods ranging from food and beer to medical supplies. Some of these containers have benefitted from conversions at a depot providing flat, aluminium non-slip flooring, internal lights and man-trapped alarms.

Standard units are also delivered to be used for secure storage. The all steel corrugated exterior makes them strong and secure. The intermodal nature of their design makes delivery, drop off and collection easy.

Some more design led conversions have seen containers converted into bars, retail units, pop up restaurants and cafes. Whole media centres for some of the larger events in London have been created from containers stacked and joined together combining their strength, stacking ability and aesthetic appeal. Bullmans have been directly involved in a number of recent projects, not only providing the initial containers for sale but also design consultancy right through to final modification, internal fit out and delivery and installation on-site. There seems to be no end to the clients imagination when it comes to conversions.
