Air Compressor Housing
These 2 x 20 foot open side shipping container were converted to house generators and air compressors. The following modifications were carried out:
- ISO front container doors removed and sand filter frames fitted
- Apertures cut and re-inforced
- Roof aperture housed with drilled and tapped frame for housing extraction fan duct
- Interior floor overlaid with mild steel chequer plate – fully welded to front + rear seals and interior bottom rails
- Earth boss points fitted
- Double fire exit doors fitted to side wall – over size 2100mm wide x 1900mm high
- Interiors and exteriors painted white
The container modifications were inspected and passed by an industry approved engineer meaning the container could be shipped under CSC regulations. The obvious benefit of this was that the generators and air compressors were protected and secured by the ISO steel container during shipping and when in use. The units could be quickly commissioned once delivered to site and can be picked up and taken from site to site with ease.
